How it works
Use your imagination to create a Harbor Sharks Doodle based on what Capital Prep means to you!
How to Enter
We are excited to see some CPrep doodles! Scholars can work with any materials they want, but all doodles must be entered using one of the Harbor Sharks templates. Parents and scholars will email the completed Harbor Sharks template as a .png/ .jpg./ or PDF to ronald.hawkins@capitalprepharbor.org
The contest is open for entries until May 29, 2020, 5:00 pm, so here’s some information to help you get started:
- Download and print the template. Pick 1 of the 2 templates.
- Doodle:
Scholars create their Doodles using any materials they want. From crayons to clay to found objects. - Write:
Artist’s statement – Tell us about what you have drawn and how it represents what CPrep means to you.
- Submit:
Email ronald.hawkins@capitalprepharbor.org a .png/.jpg or PDF of your doodle.
Judging criteria
Doodles will be judged on the following parameters:
- Artistic merit:
Based on artistic skill. - Creativity:
Representation of the contest theme, use of the letters in the Sharks logo, and the unique approach to the doodle. - Theme communication:
How well the contest theme is expressed in both the artwork and the written statement.
Doodles will be grouped and judged by the following 3-grade groups:
- Grades K-2
- Grades 3-4
- Grades 5-6
The winners will be announced, and prizes will be mailed on Monday, June 1st.
